This gorgeous couple were leaving their London apartment for my local neighbourhood, Tunbridge Wells. They wanted to get to know the area and live in it a little before buying their dream home. They rented the loveliest 3 bedroom semi-detached victorian house and needed a lot of homeware and decor to make the space feel like home.

It was really important that the furnishings I specified were classic & timeless and would be able to work in different layouts. So often when we move house we look for a cheap "quick fix". These products don't last and end up costing us more in the future.

For their Main Bedroom the upholstered headboard was the starting point. I fell in love with this linen studded shape, adding a touch of Soho Home vibes to the space, while it's classic style means it will last for years to come. I then added in lots of tactile, organic textures to give the room the ultimate relaxed feel.

The above layout is grounded by a large area rug and the bed is centred beautifully by filling out the back wall with functional furniture, taking a mix and match approach with the side tables but kept it looking consistent with matching table lamps. The bench adds a rustic softness to the room encouraging the clients to slow down & relax!
